The Information Technology Area is responsible for all planning, development, design, implementation, and support of all computer networks and related computer and technological needs of all Offices and Departments under the direct supervision of the Office of the County Commissioners. The IT group currently administers 4 major TCP/IP Active Directory integrated networks throughout multiple County buildings and locations within the Carbon County geographical area. The Group currently supports over 414 PC’s, laptops, notebooks and servers throughout the County, 159 Printers, 26 scanners, 163 other pieces of networked and non–networked technological equipment, 62 routers and switches, while maintaining 70 Virtual Private Networks throughout the County. In additions to the County seat enterprise, the Information Technology Area also services County offices at the Aging Office in Palmerton, including all senior centers, and all offices at the Nesquehoning complex. The Information Technology Group directs the matriculation of all taxation data to public and private entities and writes custom exports to meet specific client needs.
The Office of Information Technology hours of operation are 7:30 am to 4:30 pm with 24/365 support of all critical County offices. The following fees exist for data sales:
- Hard Copy Lists $15.00 Plus $.04 per Record
- Mailing Labels $15.00 Plus $.05 per Record + Label Cost
- Records on electronic media 3.5" Floppy Disks or CD-R .$.025 per Record + Media Cost
- Set-up / Programming Costs (if Required) $15.00 per 1/4 Hour
- Cost of CD-R/DVD-R $1.50 each
- Cost of Labels (Avery 5160's)… $.50 per Sheet of 30
