The responsibilities of the Fiscal/Data Processing Department focus on the main fiscal operations of the County. Financial processing includes the areas of accounts payable/expenditures, receipts/revenues, budgetary and general ledger. Other activities include payroll processing and retirement tracking. Processing begins with maintaining basic information, and continues through to the interpretation of output documents following set accounting procedures. The department produces and files many required governmental forms/reports, such as monthly reports, 941s, W-2s, etc. The department also maintains the associated hardware, software and data relative to these operations. The County currently utilizes an IBM AS/400 computer system for these functions.
