The Carbon County Sheriff's Office has a wide variety of duties and responsibilities. The office is responsible for judicial and physical security in Carbon County.

The office serves civil process, writs of execution, Bench Warrants and any other properly filed civil process. Conducting Sheriff Sales of Real Estate and Personal Property are also functions that the office performs.

The Sheriff is also responsible for the safe and secure transfer of prisoners to all court appearances or other prisons.

In the summer of 2002, the office began doing compliance checks on local merchants that sell tobacco products to ensure that they are in compliance with state law that prohibits sales of tobacco products to anyone under 18 years of age.

Service fees for service of Civil Process are set according to the number of defendants to be served and their location. Please call our office for costs.

Real Estate Executions (transactions) require a $2000.00 deposit

Personal Property Executions (transactions) require a $200.00 deposit with the Levy

Interrogatories require a $100.00 deposit.
