The Penn State Agricultural Extension Office has
relocated to 529 Lentz Trail, Jim Thorpe, PA. Hours, telephone
numbers and email addresses are the same. The new location is
along Lentz Trail at breast of Mauch Chunk Lake.
The Penn State Cooperative Extension provides up-to-date
educational information and new ways to solve individual and community
problems. Extension, part of the land-grant university, is funded
cooperatively by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, state and county
government.
Penn State Cooperative Extension offers a broad range
of programs in the areas vital to the quality of life in Pennsylvania
including: Strengthening community leadership; Managing water, soil
and forest resources; Improving nutrition, diet and health; Marketing
safe, healthful foods; Developing youth through 4-H and leadership
programs; Strengthening individual and family management skills;
Increasing agricultural profitability; Strengthening and improving
parenting skills.
