The Penn State Cooperative Extension provides up-to-date
educational information and new ways to solve individual and community
problems. Extension, part of the land-grant university, is funded
cooperatively by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, state and county
government.
Penn State Cooperative Extension offers a broad range
of programs in the areas vital to the quality of life in Pennsylvania
including: Strengthening community leadership; Managing water, soil
and forest resources; Improving nutrition, diet and health; Marketing
safe, healthful foods; Developing youth through 4-H and leadership
programs; Strengthening individual and family management skills;
Increasing agricultural profitability; Strengthening and improving
parenting skills.
