Spring Cleanup at Mauch Chunk Lake Park |

| Volunteers are needed for a community cleanup day at the Mauch Chunk Lake Park as part of the Great American Cleanup of PA. The cleanup will take place from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Meet at the park office. | |||||||||||||||

Just a short drive from the camping area this annual fishing contest is located along the historic Switchback Trail. The Mauch Chunk Creek is stocked with plenty of brook and rainbow trout. |

Fish for Free Days allow anyone to legally fish for Pennsylvania’s most popular fish without a fishing license. The Mauch Chunk Lake Park is also an official Fishing Tackle Loaner Program site. Park visitors can borrow fishing tackle free of charge. |

| Bring a blanket and chair and meet at the beach area for an informative program before the annual Perseid meteor shower. The Perseid meteor shower has been viewed for over 2000 years. Given the right conditions it is one of the most spectacular meteor showers to view. | |||||||||||||||
