Emergency Management is the process
of coordinating available resources to deal with emergencies effectively,
thereby saving lives, avoiding injury, and minimizing economic loss.
We accept the responsibility to maintain an ongoing program of mitigation,
preparedness, response and recovery. We coordinate Fire, Police,
EMS, Public Works, Volunteers, and other groups involved in emergency
activities. We conduct tours and plan updates of local SARA facilities.
We run the Haz-Mat Decon Team, we are involved in Community Programs
such as Community Outreach Programs, Safe Kids, Safety Committee,
North East Regional Task Force, County Fireman's Association. The
department also conducts weather exercises, along with SARA Facility
Drills, present Fire Prevention Programs for the local community.
